Claire Rasmussen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Deleware where she teaches in the areas of political theory and public law and serves as associated faculty in the Women's Studies and Legal Studies Departments. She specializes in late modern and contemporary continental political and social theory. Her research examines the political and cultural construction of identity. Her current project examines the relationship between marriage and the liberal state.
