replacing "featured gathering"

From Joe: The idea here, is that 'gatherings' are encountered in an organic way, without interrupting the reading process. Editorially, we will be inviting /every/ ebr author, when we accept an essay, to send Ryan a list of his or her essays on the internet. That way, readers who are taken with a given essay can continue reading other works by the same author, both 'inbound' (within ebr) and 'outbound' on the web. I've thought more about the 'featured gathering': what we don't want, is to make the 'gathering' something separate, something 'featured' for a long time. We should remove the Amerika 'feature,' as Ryan and I decided this afternoon, but in this place we could instead just say, 'Essays gathered by Daniel Worden', and have that gathering change every time a person visits the home page. That way, readers will be made aware of the 'gatherings' on the home page, and after a few visits will know that this is a distinctive ebr feature.
